Bank Building Apartments Nearly Ready to Welcome You Home!
The year 2019 has been very good to the Bank Building — and all signs point to an even brighter 2020!
This outlook is evident when touring the building’s upstairs apartments, where one can witness firsthand the remarkable progress made there over the past few months.
These days, the building’s second floor hums with the ever-present sights and sounds of the work that’s expected to ready the apartments for occupancy early in 2020.
By mid-year, it’s hoped that the Building’s new residents will be enjoying all the perks of downtown living in a small-town setting — truly, the best of both worlds!
The Bank Building’s owners, @ [1442985349:2048:Len Blackstone] and Deb Blackstone, are committed to its complete renovation, and to a plan for mixed use that’s very much in the spirit of the building’s historic character. Two of its six apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy by mid-January, meaning that new residents could very well spend Valentine’s Day there.
Which is, of course, good news for a community as strapped for rental housing as Cottage Grove. The apartments will cater to mid-level incomes for the area — with rents ranging from about $1000 to $1500 per month. They’ll offer an impressive list of amenities including a washer and dryer in each apartment, gas ranges with steel hoods, custom cabinets, stainless steel dishwashers and refrigerators and a lot more.
And in this case, “more” truly means more! Apartment 205, for example, boasts 16-foot cove ceilings, 7-foot windows that offer a fantastic view of Sixth Street and a quirky sleeping loft. Its windows flood the apartment with lots of sunlight.
Nearby, Apartment 202 will feature three bedrooms, three windows that look out over Sixth Street, 12-foot ceilings and a view from one of the Bank Building’s iconic bay windows.
Outside the apartments, residents will enjoy the use of a common community parlor with a fireplace that will encourage get-togethers and community-building. And of course, it all comes within easy proximity of all the fun and amenities of downtown — its restaurants, shops and easy access to many of Cottage Grove’s signature events.
